Dive Meets

• Announcer: Announces the diver’s name, dive number, dive type, and degree of difficulty. (1 volunteer needed per dive session)
• Score Adder: Calculates total scores from the scorecards and keeps all score sheets in order. (1 volunteer needed per dive session)
• Score Card Writer: Records the scores displayed by the judges and hands the sheet to the Score Adder. (1 volunteer needed per dive session)
• Score Collector: Collects the score sheets, double-checks the math, and returns the sheet to the Score Adder. (1 volunteer needed for home meets)
• Hospitality: Responsible for distributing water to coaches and volunteers at home meets. (2 volunteers needed for home meets)
• Mailbox Awards: Places ribbons in athletes' boxes. (2 volunteers needed the practice day following each meet)
• Meet Volunteer Coordinator: Responsible for checking in volunteers, explaining their assigned roles, directing them to their stations, and recruiting people to fill any empty spots. (2 volunteers needed for home meets)

Swim Meets

• Card Collector: Collects cards from the timers and judges and delivers them to the computer operator. This is a great role for anyone 8 years or older! (1 volunteer needed for home meets)
• Clerk of the Course: Ensures swimmers are in their correctly assigned seats behind the blocks. Moves swimmers forward from the back row to the front as heats progress. Works closely with the Pit Boss. (2 volunteers needed for home meets)
• Computer Operator: Enters swimmer times and DQ slips into the meet software. You will receive quick, on-site training for this position before the meet begins. (1 volunteer needed per meet)
• Hospitality: Responsible for distributing water to coaches and volunteers at home meets. (2 volunteers needed for home meets)

• Stroke and Turn Judges: Observes swimmers’ starts, strokes, turns, and touches to ensure rule compliance. Training is required for this position. (4 volunteers needed per meet)
• Pit Boss: Ensures swimmers are organized in the pit area and lines them up for the Clerk of the Course to take them behind the blocks. Works closely with the Clerk of the Course. (2 volunteers needed for home meets)
• Timer: Uses a stopwatch to time races. No experience is required, and you get the best view of the pool! (32 volunteers needed for each home meet)
